Have you ever wondered if you have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or the Winter Blues?
Do any of these sound familiar?
✦ You feel a lack of motivation and energy in the winter
✦ You feel lonely and disconnected from friends and loved ones every January
✦ You see it coming in the fall and wonder, “Should I uproot my whole life and move to a tropical island??”
✦ You tried taking Vitamin D and using a lightbox…but you still feel blah…
The truth is that you are not
alone in feeling this way.
What if you could connect with others
and learn a new approach
to manage your winter blues?
In The Gifts of Winter, we will walk the path together to dispel myths of shame and isolation and find more energy and resiliency in the winter (and perhaps even start to enjoy the darker months!).
I’ve used my psychotherapy and ecotherapy training to create a unique program for people who want to learn a different approach to living in the winter months. By teaching you about the nervous system, ecopsychology and somatic psychology, I am here to support you in fighting those winter blues.
One of the common challenges for people who struggle in the winter is feeling isolated, so don’t worry, you won’t be doing this alone. You will have me and a group of supportive peers with you every step of the way.

✦✦✦
I’m Bethany, a holistic psychotherapist and guide. Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of people live with greater authenticity and connection in their lives. My approach draws from mindfulness, somatic (body-based) therapy, Buddhism and ecotherapy.
I live in Providence, RI, where we have a very solid winter. My favorite things to do in winter are cook hearty soups for friends, go on hikes with my dog and catch up on creative projects. I’m excited to help you discover your favorite things about winter too!

• You are open to learning new and creative approaches to manage your symptoms of SAD/Winter Blues
• You want to find connection with other people and feel less alone

✦ THIS PROGRAM IS NOT FOR YOU IF….

FAQ’s
I’ve tried everything for my SAD/Winter Blues. Will this course teach me anything new?
This course is different than the advice you’ll find on the internet or what your doctor will tell you to manage your symptoms. I’ll be teaching you a holistic approach to get to the deeper cause of your problem and help you live in greater harmony and connection with the natural rhythms of life.
How much time should I dedicate to this?
Each group session is 90 minutes. Daily self-care and reflective exercises will be suggested.
Is this group therapy?
No, this is not therapy. While I am a licensed psychotherapist in Rhode Island and California, I am offering this program as a guide and coach.
What if I have to miss a call? Will the sessions be recorded?
I hope you can attend every session, but I get it - life happens. Each session will be recorded and sent out the following week.
Will there be homework?
Nope, no homework, but you are highly encouraged to try some of the suggestions and make changes that you find helpful.
